		<description>I thought you meant upper as well as lower and was a bit taken aback by the all upper extremity amputees have their lower body intact as my son has upper and lower.  I&#039;m learning a lot from your site though.</description>

		<description>Thank you for you feed back friend. I absolutely agree with you. I have been working out my residual limb for over eight years and have been able to completely balance my body. So working out your residual limb is extremely crucial. I will definitely check out the literature on your site as swell.</description>

		<description>I think you are a bit off track here.
If a lower extremity amputee is not balanced while exercising, for example using a rowing machine without even pressure on both legs, the exercise performed can cause more harm to the back by increasing muscle only on the one side.
Like wise if an upper extremity amputee is only lifting with one arm, they are only building the one shoulder and are likely to suffer neck pain or injury.
It is important to work the residual limb in order to keep the body balanced.
